2010 NFL MOCK DRAFT

My jerseys for each day:
Day 1: Neon Green Houshmandzadeh
- Gotta try to stand out on day 1.
Day 2: Old school blue Cortez Kennedy
Day 3: Dark Blue Mack Strong

This is my first and only mock draft of the year. I made it two rounds. What you're hearing is right, there is a lot of talent to be had later in the draft. NE is easily the hardest team to predict as they could literally go anywhere, or not pick at all. It's gross.

Round 1
1. St. Louis Rams: Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma.
I wouldn't pass on Suh for Bradford, but Rams feel like they're desperate for a QB.

2. Detroit Lions: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska.
The Russell Okung talk is a smokescreen unless they can move down a few spots.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma.
They’ll take Gerald McCoy if the Lions take Suh.

4. Washington Redskins: Russell Okung, T, Oklahoma State.
I've had this written in pen for about a month now. However, the question is will it be Trent Williams or Okung? I'm guessing Okung.

5. Kansas City Chiefs: Eric Berry, S, Tennessee.
This looks like a lock, which makes me a very sad Patton. I want Berry for the Seahawks. I guess it's possible they go with Williams or Okung since they don't like Brandon Albert at LT.

6. Seattle Seahawks: Trent Williams, T, Oklahoma.
:( He has played LT for one year, and it wasn't his best. You people refer to his previous tape as how impressive he is, well he was playing RT on that tape. He shot up boards at the combine, unfortunately I don't think combine is that important for an OL. I really hope we get Berry.

7. Cleveland Browns: Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame.
I'm not sold that he's going to Cleveland, but he could. Holmgren's softened his stance on drafting him. I think they pass on Joe Haden.

8. Oakland Raiders: Anthony Davis, T, Rutgers.
If I thought Oakland was really stupid I'd say Bruce Campbell here, however I think they'll go with the 'safer' Anthony Davis (who isn't really safe at all). Don't be surprised if it's Iupati of Dez Bryant here.

9. Buffalo Bills: Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee.
People keep telling me Williams won't fall out of the top 10. Miami fans cringe as they wish he'd be there at 12.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Joe Haden, CB, Florida.
Jacksonville will be very happy to get Joe Haden here.

11. Denver Broncos (from CHI): Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama.
Denver Broncos fans rejoice! Kansas City passed on him at 5 and No one traded up to 10 to take him.

12. Miami Dolphins: Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida.
I keep hearing he'll sneak into the top 10, but I don't see where except to Oakland or Seattle.

13. San Francisco 49ers: Bryan Bulaga, T, Iowa.
San Francisco takes a future RT to play RT. Good pick, they're not going to try to make Bulaga play LT where he'd fail miserably.

14. Seattle Seahawks (from DEN): Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State.
I've rated Dez Bryant better than I did Crabtree last year, and I was screaming for us to take him at #4. Seems like the kind of project Pete Carroll will love to take on

15. New York Giants: Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech.
Rumors are that they take a DE and shop Osi Umenyiora. What?

16. Tennessee Titans: Earl Thomas, S, Texas.
He's a top 15 pick, and at a need position for Tennessee. They would have loved JPP or Morgan to fall here.

17. San Francisco 49ers (from CAR): C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson.
Talk about a dynamic combo with Frank Gore. You can rely on Gore missing a couple games every year and Spiller is the perfect change of pace for them

18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Maurkice Pouncey, C, Florida.
The top interior lineman in the draft with the ability to play G or C. In this division with how many big NT's there are you need a reliable C.

19. Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State.
Wilson is gaining momentum. Mardy Gilyard recently said he was the best CB he's played against.

20. Houston Texans: Ryan Matthews, RB, Fresno State.
I think everyone has had this written down for months.

21. Cincinnati Bengals: Rob Gronkowski, TE, Arizona.
I'm trusting a source on this one that Gronkowski is who the Bengals want, however I hear Demaryius Thomas could go here with the Bengals trying to trade up in round 2 for Grasham.

22. New England Patriots: Sergio Kindle, LB, Texas.
Who thinks they keep this pick? Anyone? I should start a pool with how many of the original picks the patriots will select at. I'll put the over under right now at 2.5

23. Green Bay Packers: Charles Brown, T, USC.
Green Bay's offensive line was bad last year, Charles Brown can come in and play right away.

24. Philadelphia Eagles: Kareem Jackson, CB, Alabama.
Kareem Jackson is a late riser, I swear the eagles make a killing on studs who fall to far (Iupati here?) or being at the right spot to catch a guy with tons of momentum.

25. Baltimore Ravens: Mike Iupati, G, Idaho
Not a sexy pick, but one that Ravens fans can get behind. They trust there Front Office.

26. Arizona Cardinals: Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri.
Weatherspoon is a tackling machine who Arizona fans will fall in love with.

27. Dallas Cowboys: Jared Odrick, DT, Penn State.
He'll play DE in Dallas. I keep hearing Cleveland and Jacksonville love him so he may not make it this far, or even near here.

28. San Diego Chargers: Jahvid Best, RB, California.
Some people will say this is too much like Sproles. I disagree. Best will be a monster in SD.

29. New York Jets: Taylor Mays, S, USC.
He takes over Kerry Rhodes' vacancy in the secondary. This athleticism screams Rex Ryan blitzing to me.

30. Minnesota Vikings: Everson Griffen, DE, USC.
Everyone thought CB until they signed Lito Sheppard.

31. Indianapolis Colts: Rodger Saffold, T/G, Indiana.
Saffold sneaks into the first round as a late riser.

32. New Orleans Saints: Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan.
People seem to like Graham way more than I do. I just see an undersized DE.

Round 2
33. St. Louis Rams: Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech.
34. Detroit Lions: Jerry Hughes, OLB/DE, TCU.
35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Patrick Robinson, CB, Florida State.
36. Kansas City Chiefs: Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers
37. Philadelphia Eagles (from WAS): Nate Allen, S, USF.
38. Cleveland Browns: Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida.
39. Oakland Raiders: Brian Price, DT, UCLA.
40. San Diego Chargers (from SEA): Terrence Cody, NT, Alabama.
41. Buffalo Bills: Tim Tebow, QB, Florida.
42. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from CHI): Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma.
43. Miami Dolphins: Morgan Burnett, S, Georgia Tech.
44. New England Patriots (from JAX): Colt Mccoy, QB, Texas.
45. Denver Broncos: Tyson Alualu, DT, California.
46. New York Giants: Daryl Washington, LB, TCU.
47. New England Patriots (from TEN): Dexter McCluster, RB/WR, Ole Miss.
48. Carolina Panthers: Dan Lefevour, QB, Central Michigan.
49. San Francisco 49ers: Jason Worilds, LB/DE, Virginia Tech.
50. Kansas City Chiefs (from ATL): Geno Atkins, DT, Georgia.
51. Houston Texans: Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois.
52. Pittsburgh Steelers: Taylor Price, WR, Ohio University.
53. Cincinnati Bengals: Mike Williams, WR, Syracuse.
54. New England Patriots: Eric Norwood, LB, South Carolina.
55. Green Bay Packers: Damian Williams, WR, USC.
56. Philadelphia Eagles: John Jerry, G/T, Ole Miss.
57. Baltimore Ravens: Jimmy Graham, TE, Miami FL.
58. Arizona Cardinals: Cam Thomas, DT, North Carolina.
59. Dallas Cowboys: Bruce Campbell, T, Maryland.
60. Seattle Seahawks (from SD): Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford.
Some people will say this is a little early. I think this is who they've targeted all along. The pick is either Gerhart or Chad Jones.
61. New York Jets: Vlad Ducasse, G/T, UMass.
62. Minnesota Vikings: Alex Carrington, DE, Arkansas State.
63. Indianapolis Colts: Perrish Cox, CB/RS, Oklahoma State.
64. New Orleans Saints: Chad Jones, S, LSU.

I noticed that you have 0 trades in the top ten of the first round. Is that because you don't believe there will be trades? Or because you don't feel like throwing all of the options and situations out there? Your boy, Bill Simmons, has quite a few trades in the upper half of the draft.

There will be trades. Plenty of them. I just tried to pick what players I think will go to what team.

I think Philly is going to trade up for Earl Thomas.

I think one of the 3-4 teams will jump up and try to take Odrick.

Someone will give up a future first and I hope it's to the Seahawks.
